Questions:

1. What are 5 words and 5 symbols that represent the club?
2. What is the goal of this club?
3. What colors do you think of when you hear the word "environmental"?
4. What is the origin of your club?
5. Any hardships?
6. What are the strengths and weaknesses of the club?

Answers/ Summary (Interviewed Celine):

The Environmental Club just started as a student-led club in Millennium High School. The goal of the club is to bring awareness of the concept of "Go Green". In other words, the club brings awareness about green living, eco-friendly methods, and environmental issues around the school.

One hardship that the club has faced this year was the temporary closing of the farm space in Battery Park. The farm space at Battery Park was a project produced by this club a few years back. Since the farm is closed for now, the Green Team needs to organize other activities in replacement. Some of which includes bringing awareness about closing the lights of a classroom after the room is done being occupied.

Some weaknesses of this club is that sometimes there are financial issues which restrain the kinds of activities we could do (such as trips or hand-made displays). Also, there is not always enough time to finish projects which leads people to volunteer after school. The strengths include the club's good sense of community and great ideas shared during discussions.

Celine believes:
- 5 words to describe the club are: care, community, earth, learning, and plants
- 5 symbols to describe the club are: plants, gardening tools, earth, leaf, and recycling sign
- Colors: Green, blue, silver, and brown
